Nutmeg Peddlers complete Packing and Shipping Information for the USA Mainland and Worldwide.

We have safely packed and shipped 1,000's and 1,000's of items. Everything we ship is personally packed by us, the owners. Being a small family owned and operated business, we take care with each and every order one at a time. There is no high production here! We successfully use the United States Postal Service, Kensington CT 06037 branch. Most USA Mainland destination items are shipped Priority Mail, First Class, or Parcel Post. International items are shipped Air Letter Post, and Air Parcel Post depending on the item.

Your shipping cost for any of our items:

• Click the shipping calculator button that is in every ad for the shipping amount. If you are an INTERNATIONAL customer, email us before the purchase to know your exact shipping and handling amount. International postage can be expensive so email us your address!!

What we do to insure your package gets to you safely:

• Packed in box. We use padded envelopes for smaller items.
• Packing cushioning. We use different types of cushioning depending on the item.
• Tape all box seams. We do not just put one piece of tape across the top, rather at the flap ends also.
• Address label is clear taped over so it is clear even if it gets wet.
• Our return address is clear taped over so it is clear even if it gets wet.
• Priority Mail stickers used on brown boxes so that it is not mistaken for Parcel Post and takes the long route.
• Fragile, do not crush, do not drop etc. stamps are applied to boxes.
• Consistently ship from the same post office. We are known at our post office.
• Print USPS labels for clear type addresses.
• Enclose addressed receipt

Shipping services we use:

• USPS Priority Mail, advertised  2-3 day delivery. (they do not guarantee in their fine print surprisingly) Most items shipped this service.
• USPS First Class Mail. Some smaller items shipped this service
• USPS Parcel Post. A few items shipped this service
• Air Mail Letter Post for international
• Air Mail Parcel Post for international

• Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico
• APO addresses
• World wide just about anywhere but Email for shipping cost.

International Shipping notes:

• We do NOT mark gift on the customs forms. Marking gift does not avoid duty and taxes.
• Email us for shipping BEFORE you purchase unless you are familiar with the higher costs of shipping to your country.  Include your country so the shipping is figured for your address only
• Shipping times vary from us to your country. We have no control of this time. Custom delays also add time. Most items shipped to just about any country get there from 5 to 10 days. If your item takes MUCH longer, it is in a slow process that we cannot control. Do keep in mind though, we have yet to have an international package not show up.
